Command Sergeant Major Bonds is a native of Benton Harbor, Michigan. He entered the U.S. Army in June, 1989. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advance Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia. In 1995 he was accepted to start the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) Course at Fort McClellan, Alabama.

CSM Bonds has served in every leadership position from Squad Leader to Platoon Sergeant to include First Sergeant. CSM Bonds holds an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College, Albany, New York, and a Master’s Degree of Business Administration from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri.
